Pay per sale is an agreement that states the advertiser will only pay for sales generated at the destination site. The commission rate is also agreed upon in this agreement. This is often the most favorable payment type to advertisers but least favorite to publishers.

Cost per thousand impressions or CPM is an agreement that many publishers prefer. The CPM rate is multiplied by the number of CPM units. Impression amounts are paid by calculating the CPM by a 1000. Here is an example $10 CPM/1000 impressions = $.01 per impression.

Choosing the right products is last but certainly not least among the most important things that you need to do. Make sure that you are well versed in the product that you choose. Also choose a product that is within your main audience. Choose something that your customers might already be familiar with.
