Many people are scared to
blog because they think it is this very sophisticated process. This is not true and you can even set up your own blog for free. It is not hard to do.
Most blogs are now built using software specifically for this purpose. Some of the software is free. The easiest place to set up a free blog is Blogger.com which is owned by Google. Some people will get a Word Press blog for free as well.
You can set up a blog with Blogger.com in a few minutes. If you want to host it yourself you can do that or you can let Google host it for you. It only takes 3 steps to set your blog up with them and you get to pick the template you want. They have many templates to choose from.
Before you create your blog plan think about what you want in it. Keep in mind that you'll want to include an easy way for readers to respond to the content on your blog.
Plan on writing in your blog on a regular basis. Many people start a blog and quit because it seems like work to them. You can make money with your blog if you will work at it.
Here are a few other things to be sure and do when you post a blog.
1. You can customize your blog if you are comfortable doing it. One thing to consider is joining and adding Adsense to your blog posts. This is an easy way to make money from Google.
2. You want to make sure you ping your posts. Pinging is done automatically on blogger when you set the ping box to yes. You will find this in the settings tab and then click on publish. You can use a service like Pingoat.com to ping your posts as well.
3. Join OnlyWire.com and bookmark your post to several social directories with one click. You will have to register with each directory one time first. Then submit your posts to over 15 directories bringing you potential new visitors and business.
Again once you get your blog set up be sure and post articles in it on a regular basis. This is important if you want people to come back over and over to read what you have to say. This is a form of relationship building and part of how you make money with your blog.
